The Unity Community Centre, and the Unity Skating Club, held its registration night on Monday with an impressive turnout despite COVID, as 15 skaters registered for Starskate, and Canskate was opened up to Stage 2, where there is a couple spots left for Canskate, but Starskate cannot take anymore skaters due to COVID, and they will be stuck at 15 for the time being, according to Unity Skating Club head, Coleen Smith.

"Unfortunately Starskate cannot take new skaters because of guidelines we have to follow, but that's alright, at least we are getting some kids to skate," she chuckled.

The Town of Unity and it's hockey teams, will have to wait and see along with the rest of the province, what the Saskatchewan Health Authority says can be done for the upcoming hockey season, and what guidelines will be in place moving forward.
