This will be the final tournament for senior girls volleyball teams, before a select few advance to Provincials.

The Unity Warriors will have home court advantage in this contest as they prepare to host 4A West Regionals.

"The competition should be quite good going into the weekend," said Unity Coach, Rhonda Gartner. "All the teams are trying to advance to the Provincial Championship next weekend in Clavet. In order to do that, you have to be one of the top three teams to advance with six teams coming."

Hosting Regionals will be nothing new for Unity Composite School, as they've hosted similiar tournaments like Conferences and Provincials in previous years.

Gartner said the team has had a strong season, and they are hoping to keep that momentum going into the weekend, "The girls have played pretty consistent all year long and have had a lot of growth from the start till now. Last weekend, we were in Spiritwood for the Conference playoffs and we finished that in first place."

There will be several Regional tournaments for senior girls happening around the region.
