It wasn't the turnout the Redwings were hoping for last night, as they fell short to the Lacombe Generals in the semi-finals.

The host team, Lacombe, earned an early lead in the game, scoring twice in the first period. Kyle Stroh, who donned a Redwings jersey last year, earned the first goal against his past teammates. He was assisted by Levi Nelson and Chase Norrish.

The second Generals goal was scored by Nolan Huysmans, unassisted.

Redwings hit the scoreboard in the start of the second period, with Justin Fox capitalizing on a power play situation. His goal was assisted by Zachery Zadorozniak and Brayden Atkinson.

The Generals added another one shortly after, with Dylan Nowakowski scoring with help from teammate, Billy Marshall.

With the loss, the Redwings are out of the running for the 2019 Allan Cup.

Today's final game consists of the Innisfail Eagles and the host team, Lacombe Generals.
