Kindersley Minor Ball President Chad Miller and the rest of the Kindersley Minor Ball board made a tough decision on April 27 and have decided to cancel the upcoming 2020 minor baseball and softball regular seasons.

Kindersley Minor Ball President Chad Miller talked about tough decision the minor ball board had to make.

"We canceled our regular season, which runs in the school months of May and June, we still left an option open to participate in a provincial season, if our provincial organizations, Baseball and Softball Saskatchewan give the go ahead to proceed with tournaments, if that option becomes available a plan will be announced by our organization at that time," Miller says.

He says it's important to note that there is some grey area in the reopen Saskatchewan plan, with phase 4, which includes physical distancing restrictions still in place, outdoor gatherings of 30 people or less, and no date attached to it, it makes it impossible to follow while playing ball.

It is still up in the air if senior baseball will played this season, but due to the current restrictions of gatherings of 10 people or less in place, the future looks grim for a 2020 senior baseball season in the Fertile Valley Baseball League.
