After a long playoff stretch put on by the Kindersley Kobras, the season has officially ended with a tough loss in the 3A Nine-Man Provincial Championship Final to the Lumsden Devils. The final score was 68-20 for the Devils.

Although it is never a good feeling to lose in the provincial final, the Kobras can hold their heads up high with a sense of pride. The last time a Kobras team played in a Provincial Final was in the 1970's; almost 50 years ago.

Kindersley was the only team in the region to make it to a Championship Final, while all of the other teams have previously lost out in the past weeks.

In the regular season, the Kobras finished in third place with three wins and three losses. Since the two teams ahead of them qualified for 2A Nine-Man Provincials, the Kobras finished in first place for 3A teams and received the honour of hosting a home playoff game.

The Kobras played their best football when it mattered and dominated the visiting team from Fort Qu' Appelle 53-0 to advance to the semi-finals against Humboldt. Again, the Kobras hosted Humboldt and pulled out a 26-14 win on their home turf.

Overall, the Kobras are the second best 3A Nine-Man football program in the entire province and will look to have another strong campaign in 2018.
