Earlier on this week the decision was made to cancel the upcoming Good to go racing's dirt drag and tractor pull events. Good to Go Racing's Shayne Neigum talks about the tough decision and the reasoning behind it.

"We had a long thought process, that went into canceling our event, we tried not to , and tried not to, just to ensure to keep this event rolling for the west central area, and the big thing we want everyone to know that COVID was the nail in the coffin for the event," Neigum says.

The group is happy with the support and it will be tough giving his sponsors and volunteers a break, but it's understandable.

"It's pretty trying times for our area and with all the COVID-19 restrictions in place obviously that solidified the decision," Neigum said.

The group had thought of pushing the races back until September, but even if we were allowed to have gatherings we figured it wouldn't be that large, there's some days we have over 3,500 people out there Neigum says.

Good to Go Racing wishes to extend their gratitude to all the sponsors, volunteers, spectators, and competitors who continue to show their support. They look forward to putting on the best Motorsports show when the time is right.
