It's beginning to feel a lot more like Christmas as the days and nights go by, but the event held this past weekend in the town of Rosetown was one of the major events to kick off the holiday season.

The first day of December happened to be a gorgeous Friday night as families gathered at Rosetown Lovett Park to watch the Christmas lights go on for the first time of the holiday season. The entire park is now decorated in unique Christmas lights that will be on for the rest of the month until Christmas Day comes.

Hot chocolate and cookies were available for just two dollars, and many people were feeling like enjoying a snack and warm drink to have thew full effect of enjoyment.

Many people have started to light up their own homes, and decorate their own trees but the scene at Lovett Park in Rosetown is unique in itself. You just might see families going back on warm evenings to take in the lights and decorations that took hard work to set up.
