With COVID-19 numbers still high across the province, the Saskatchewan Health Authority has clear guidelines online for anyone who is a close contact of a positive case.

First the criteria for a close contact is outlined as "A family member, friend, acquaintance, roommate, classmate or co-worker has spent time with you (at least 15 minutes within a 24 hour period and within 2 meters) when they were infectious with COVID-19."

If you are double vaccinated (at least 14 days after the second dose), you are not required to self-isolate, or get tested, unless you develop symptoms.

If you are not fully immunized, you should get tested and are required to self-isolate for 10 days.

If you have a fever, you cannot stop isolating until the fever is gone for 24 hours, and other symptoms have improved for 48 hours.

If you are not fully vaccinated and you live with somebody who tested positive, you are required to start self-isolating immediately and you must isolate for 10 days after their isolation is complete.

If you are not fully vaccinated and you test negative during your isolation period, you cannot shorten your isolation period.

You can review the guidelines in more detail - including what constitutes self-isolation - online here.
