U13

The U13 West Central AA Wheat Kings had one game this past weekend against the division leading Tisdale AA Ramblers. In a back and forth game, which saw eight goals in all scored in the second period, four by each team, ended with Tisdale on top, 8-6. Leading the way for the Wheat Kings was Anderson Reschny with two assists, and Taylor Neumeier, Kaine Thiessen, and Landon Reschny had a goal and an assist. Cruz Loehndorf and Graydon Neumeier also scored in the defeat. 

The team starts their post season against the Warman Wildcats this weekend. The first game is in Warman this Saturday at 2:45 pm. Game two will be in Kerrobert Sunday at 4:30 pm, and the final game if necessary, will be in Warman on Monday at 2:00 pm.

U15 

It was a busy weekend for the U15 AA Wheat Kings as three games were played, and also one game was played last night on the road in Saskatoon. Game one saw the team head to Melfort to take on the North East Wolfpack. West Central won the game 4-1, thanks to two goals and an assist by Chase Weinkauf.

Game two was on the road once again, this time in Humboldt against the AA Broncos. In a penalty filled game, the Wheat Kings powerplay was on fire, going 3 for 10, accounting for all the goals they scored, and the team won once again, 3-1. Aiden Torry had a goal and an assist, and Chase Douglas and Cobe Perlinger each had a goal as well in the victory.

The Wheat Kings completed the three game weekend sweep, as they knocked off the Regina Aces 6-4 at the WCEC. The game included an incident half way through the second period which resulted in six players being ejected as fights broke out across the ice, and two players left the bench to join the altercation from Regina. The rough stuff aside, saw both Cobe and Cam Perlinger each getting two goals and three assists, Chase Weinkauf also had a goal and an assist in the victory. 

West Central then played the Saskatoon Generals last night on the road, and could not make it four straight wins, falling 5-2. Carson Kraft and Cam Perlinger scored in the defeat. 

The U15 AA Wheat Kings now have a 13-9-4 record, which is tied with Prince Albert for the final playoff spot in the Centre Four Division.

U18 

The West Central U18 AA Wheat Kings had a pair of games this weekend. The team played host to the Saskatoon Icehawks on Saturday in Kerrobert and came out with the win, 5-1. Kaden Veller and Colbey Frocklage each had a goal and two assists to lead the Wheat Kings to victory. Blake Sittler also had a strong game in the net, with 33 saves on 34 shots. 

Game two was on the road in North Battleford against the North West Stars, and the team couldn't muster up any offense, despite outshooting the Stars 39-23, losing 4-0.

The Wheat Kings have a chance for revenge against the Stars, as they will once again this Saturday at 4:00 pm in North Battleford. 

West Central has a 16-14-2 record heading into the final regular season game of the year, which is good for seventh in the Centre Four Division. The top eight make the playoffs in the division.
