In the winner take all game between the Kindersley Sr. Klippers and Outlook Ice Hawks, Outlook threw everything they had at Kindersley early on, and if it wasn't for the splendid goaltending of Luke Sproule, Kindersley would have been out of the game from the start. Brody Ryberg also played strong defensively for the Sr. Klippers as well, and even though the Sr. Klippers were on their heels throughout the first period, they came out unscathed, as the teams played a scoreless first period.

After 1: Sr. Klippers 0 - 0 Ice Hawks, shots 21-5 Ice Hawks

The second period saw Outlook on the powerplay, after Darian Dziurzynski took a late hooking penalty which prevented a scoring chance with just four seconds remaining in the first. Outlook could not take advantage, and Jared Jagow high sticked Brody Ryberg and cut him, resulting in a four minute penalty, and negating the Ice Hawks powerplay. Kindersley went to work after the brief four on four, and got on the board, as Shayne Neigum found Kylar Hope at the side of the net, and the puck bounced off his skate and in. The officials had a brief discussion, but it was determined that is was not a distinct kicking motion and the goal stood.

Then in what could have been the turning point of the game, Outlook captain Logan Stephenson blindsided David Dziurzynski in the corner, and after a brief discussion between the officials, it was determined to be a major penalty for charging and an automatic game misconduct to Stephenson. Dziurzynski did not play the remainder of the period, and the Sr. Klippers seemed to be out of sorts of the powerplay, and Outlook managed to get a rush of their own, and Logan Pyett scored a shorthanded marker to tie the game at one at the 11:37 mark. It was even until the end of the period, and then the Sr. Klippers took an interference penalty late, which carried over into the third period.

After 2: Sr. Klippers 1 - Ice Hawks 1, shots 14-11 Ice Hawks in the period, 35-16 Ice Hawks overall

This time the Ice Hawks took advantage of the powerplay, as Shay Stephenson scored off of a rebound on another nice rush by Logan Pyett, with the assist going to Jordy Johnston at just 31 seconds of the third period.

Then later, Outlook got another man advantage on a tripping penalty by Kyle Donaldson for the Sr. Klippers, and cushioned their lead to two, as Jordy Johnston finished a nice passing play from Shay Stephenson and Ryan Keller. Later on, Luke Sproule absolutely stoned Jared Jagow on a breakaway, and then again on the wraparound, in what I believe was the best save Sproule has ever made, got his glove on the shot, to keep the lead at two for the Ice Hawks. Unfortunately for Kindersley, that was the highlight of the period for them, as they could not muster up any offense, and Outlook held on for the senior 'B' provincial championship.

FINAL: Sr. Klippers 1 - 3 Ice Hawks, shots 12-7 Ice Hawks in the period, 47-23 Ice Hawks overall

Luke Sproule made this game a lot closer then it should have been, making countless great saves, and keeping his team in the hockey game. Sproule has now cemented himself as one of the premier goaltenders in the SWHL, after his standout performance throughout the provincial playoffs.

Thanks to the fire power of the Ice Hawks attack, which included the three Rosetown players picked up (Jared Jagow, Kyle Ireland, and Jordy Johnston), and timely goals from their lineup, Outlook won this provincial championship, and was hands down the better team in the deciding game of this series, outshooting Kindersley by a wide margin.
