It was a beautiful day for students of the Kindersley Composite School on Wednesday, as the School held its annual Terry Fox Run. Grade 9-12 students, along with staff and the Kindersley Composite School marching band, took part in the Run Wednesday afternoon. The story of Terry Fox is a source of inspiration, determination and pride for every Canadian. The Winnipeg native who lost a leg to cancer, then proceeded to run 5,373 kilometers over 143 days on a prosthetic leg back in 1980.

Fox was able to raise $1.7 million before he was forced to abandon the marathon due to the return and spread of the disease. Fox passed away on June 28th of 1981.

While Terry never finished his Marathon of Hope, runs like the one in Kindersley continue to honour his legacy.
