The number of doses of COVID-19 vaccine that have been given in Saskatchewan is now over the 90,000 mark, according to the most recent data released Saturday afternoon. In the daily update, there were 3,577 doses reported, bringing the total number of doses administered in the province up to 90,456.

The report issued Saturday afternoon also confirmed 163 new cases of COVID-19 in the province, along with 25 recoveries. Three deaths were also reported, all in the Saskatoon zone. One person was in the 50-59 age group, one in the 70-79 age group and one in the 80+ age group.

Of the new cases reported, Regina and Saskatoon counted for roughly half of them. There were 58 new cases reported in Regina and 34 reported in Saskatoon. Another 20 cases were reported in the North Central zone, 14 in the Far North East, 12 in the Central East, 10 in the North West, four in the Far North West and South East, three in the North East and one in the Central West and South West. There are two cases pending residence information.

There are 142 people who are in hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19. Of those, 120 are receiving in-patient care while another 22 are in intensive care.
