The town of Unity will be spreading holiday joy this upcoming Thursday with its Winter Wonderland Festival. The festival will feature an array of events with local businesses participating.

A parade is scheduled for 7:30 pm, there will also be a festive window display contest, live music, a minor hockey street game, and photos with Santa. Pictures with Santa will take place at Hollyhock’s Greenhouse – on a first come basis.

Nicole Headrick, Unity's Recreation Director and a member of the 2021 Winter Wonderland Committee is thrilled to have the event back.

“We're planning Winter Wonderland. It's on Thursday, December 16th. We're taking last year's parade because we couldn't have our annual event and we're kind of putting it all together for a community event. Different businesses around town are planning little events.”

Headrick added more events are expected to take place.

“I know the Winter Wonderland Committee is talking about lighting up the tree at the end of Main Street, and that might be kind of intertwined with the same night like bringing an ornament to put on the tree.”

Additional events are a possibility and anyone wanting more information is welcome to contact Nicole Headrick and the 2021 Winter Wonderland committee.
