Highlighting the calls to service for the Unity, Macklin and Wilkie RCMP from July 19 to 25 was a report of a possible kidnapping from out of province in the Wilkie area. The investigation determined that there was no kidnapping, and that the complainant had some mental health issues. The reported victim was returned to their family members. Also in the calls was a request to keep the peace while an individual attended a residence to retrieve personal property in Macklin.

UNITY REPORTS

· RCMP conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

· Members acted as mediators in a neighbor dispute.

· Police are investigating a complaint of a break and enter into a residence.

· Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

· RCMP received a report of an unwanted vehicle on a property. Members informed the complainant that it was a civil matter.

· Police received a complaint of trespassing. This matter is still under investigation.

· Members received a report of a barking dog. This matter is still under investigation.

· RCMP received a complaint of theft but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

· Police received a report of cattle on Highway 14 east of Unity. Members contacted local cattle farmers to check their herds and later patrolled the highway. The animals were no longer on the roadway.

· Members are investigating a complaint of uttering threats.

· RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

· There was also one traffic complaint, one false alarm and one false 911 call.

WILKIE REPORTS

· RCMP acted as mediators in a neighbor dispute in three separate incidents this week.

· Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

· RCMP investigated a report of a possible kidnapping from out of province. The investigation determined that there was no kidnapping, and that the complainant had some mental health issues. The reported victim was returned to their family members.

· Police are investigating a complaint of a stolen truck.

· There were also three traffic complaints and one false alarm.

MACKLIN REPORT

· RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

· Members received a request to keep the peace while an individual attended a residence to retrieve personal property.

· Police received a complaint of harassing communications but it was unfounded.

· Members received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Reported for information purposes.

· RCMP received a complaint of an unwanted individual at a residence. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.
