The U13 Western Prairie Thunder have been dominant all season long, and continued that stretch with a 5-0 win last night against the Northwest Stars to sweep another series and move themselves on into the Sask FHL league finals. They await the winner of the series between Weyburn and Wood River in the southern portion of the bracket.

The Thunder scored three first period goals starting with Berkley Wuttunee's opening marker about five minutes in, before going scoreless in the second, only to score a pair in the third to help goalie Kailee Preston secure the shutout victory. Stevie Christiaens, Presley McKnight, and Hayden Hilbig each had two point nights in the win as well.

The Thunder's next game will be their provincial final match-up against LaFleche on Sunday afternoon in Kindersley, as they have a chance to run the table and win it all this hockey season.
