The Outlook RCMP were kept busy this past Saturday. On the afternoon of August 7th an alert was sent out alerting residents to the increased police presence in the west central community. The local RCMP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle.

While details are thin at the moment, the stolen vehicle was eventually abandoned by the suspect and they fled the scene on foot. RCMP indicated in their alert that the suspect was last seen on Douglas Street, a mainly residential area.

With the suspect at large the RCMP issued an alert for residents to be on the look out for a suspect wearing a 'grey shirt/sweater and black backpack.' Then abut 40 minutes after the alert was issued the local RCMP indicated that they had recovered a backpack, grey shirt, and jeans in the 300 block of Douglas street. Indicating that the suspect had abandoned their clothes.

The alert ended asking residents to be alert, that the suspect was still at large and possibly shirtless. No further updates were provided over the weekend.

We'll have more as it becomes available.
