It's been a minute, but I'm back.

Funny enough the last blog I wanted to do had so much preparation behind it. It was going to be titled "I probably haven't watched your favorite movie", because that is a true statement from me to most of my friends. My typical response back to their answer and how I haven't watched it is "I watch sports" but that just gets old even though it's the truth.

There were some really interesting movies on the list that I do intend on one day seeing, so hey, maybe this was just an exercise to get a new catalogue of movies in my head.

Now with the movie topic more than a few weeks removed I don't exactly think I can dive right back into it with the same vigour I would have back when I probably still wouldn't have watched those movies, so for entertainments sake I am going to include a little feature I helped create on the morning show this past week.

Kindersley's Dexter Francis is going to be competing as one of 6 NHL 21 gamers this weekend, with a chance to win $2500. Follow the link to read more, but our discussion on Country 104 circled more around our on-going real life debate.

Connor McDavid vs Sidney Crosby. Homer vs Homer.

Dexter and I have some history with this topic and it was a natural one to bring up with the playoffs just about here and Dexter joining the Country 104 morning show with Nick Nielsen anyway to talk his gaming.

Just some haymakers being thrown by two semi-educated hockey fans. For Dex I will take away the 'semi' tag. For me, I just know that I see greatness when 97 has the puck and frankly it brought out a little sass from yours truly when Dexter disagreed.

Before that whole ordeal, I put aside the differences in an arguement that likely isn't going away... to remind Dexter of a little wager he made on Twitter a few years back. I worked myself into the bet including his Penguins.

I want Dexter to follow through on his double down and get two shirts, but I wasn't lying when I thought having a Crosby jersey would compliment whatever McDavid memorabilia I gather through the years.

This was fun to write but it's where I put the virtual pen down on The Scoop with Coop. It felt weird to crush it for so many weeks straight and then just leave my billions of fans hanging, and while the content has slowed a little, there is lots to expect from Country 104 in the upcoming months. Expect myself and the new guy Nick Nielsen to engage in some friendly banter every so often on the morning show, and keep you entertained with videos and content similar to this one inspired by a local company.

(Video unavailable, head to our Facebook page if you have not already watched the Country 104 Drive Thru Challenge. You wont regret it, and check out Cruisin with Deej while you're there)

Since I try to be a writer more than anything this likely isn't my last blog, though I think it is appropriate timing to call this the final scoop.
