Many people gathered in Alsask on Sunday morning to help with the annual fundraiser for Terry Fox.

Around 100 people showed up to this year's event which went up from previous years due to harvest season being successful. This event has been running since 1983 when the Military base was still in Alsask is when the event kicked off.

Cindy Chiliak, organizer of the event, talked about how the event ran during Sunday morning.

"There is a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 9:00am - 11:00am and there is a silent auction running during the same time. Prizes are drawn at 11:00am following the breakfast."

Chiliak has been in charge of running the auction for the past 13 years, and now has her daughter also participating with organizing.

All proceeds made from the event went directly to the Terry Fox Foundation.
