After a full slate of games this past weekend, which included everyone playing at least once, the Wilkie Outlaws remain the only team without a loss heading into play this upcoming weekend.
The Outlaws are 5-0, after knocking off Kindersley 6-2 on Saturday night in Kindersley, and then defeating the Edam 3 Stars 9-3 on Sunday at home.
In the weekly nominations for players of the week, Macklin goaltender Nathan Hargrave got the nod, after making 26 saves on 29 shots against Edam this past Saturday. Chris Henry was the player of the week for the Biggar Nationals after putting up four goals and five assists in two games.
Kindersley's Troy Boisjoli had a big weekend, with six assists in two games played, including five against the Nationals on December 3. Kyle Litchenwald was Hafford's player of the week, after scoring two and adding an assist in a 5-3 win over Kerrobert this past Saturday.
Outlaws forward Rory Gregoire took home player of the week, after four goal performance this past Sunday, as well as two assists against the Sr. Klippers this past Saturday. Unity's Dylan McCubbing scored a hat trick against the Kerrobert Tigers on December 3, then added an assist against Biggar on December 4, to get player of the week for the Miners. And Edam 3 Stars' Keegan McBride took home player of the week, with two goals in a 3-1 win over Macklin on Saturday.
League President Joe Cey ranked these performances, and chose Kerrobert Tigers workhorse goaltender, Nik Amundrud, who stopped 84 of the 91 shots he faced in 2 games as the SWHL player of the week.
