The Sask West Hockey League had five games this past weekend, and another two postponed. As for the games that were played, Macklin went a perfect 2-0 on the weekend, knocking off Biggar and Kerrobert. Wilkie finally lost its first game in regulation, falling 6-4 in Hafford Friday night. Wilkie's other game against Edam was postponed and will be played this Friday at 8:30 pm in Edam. Hafford was also a perfect 2-0 on the weekend, also defeating Unity on Saturday, after knocking off Wilkie Friday night. Kindersley's game against Unity on Friday is the other game that was postponed on the weekend and will be made up on February 1 at 8:00 pm in Unity.

As for the players of the week selected by League President Joe Cey, Biggar goaltender Brett Matlock took home the honours after making 61 saves on 68 shots going 1-1 on the weekend. Runners up included the Hafford Hawks tandem of Jorden Braid (4G, 5A) in two games, and Jeremy Boyer (3G,6A) in two games, both victories for the Hawks.
