The entire top row was full of spectators. Fans came out on a snowy Saturday night to the West Central Event Centre to watch their hometown team defeat the visiting Unity Miners 9-1.

Goals in the first came from Shayne Neigum (2), David Dziurzynski, and Carson Grolla.

The second saw goals from David Dziurzynski, and Brody Ryberg. Unity answered with a breakaway goal from Garrin Scherr at the 3:51 mark. It would prove to be their only marker as Kindersley had the upper hand from the start and rolled through the third with three unanswered goals. Brody Ryberg scored twice in the third and had 6 points on the night. Neigum ended up with 4 points, 2 goals and 2 helpers. Calkins had 6 assists.

The final goal came from Dylan Francis with just 53 seconds left on the clock, as Kindersley (in their green jerseys) played the full 60 minutes in front of a loud cheering crowd. Unity's new goalie Brett Vandeveer was peppered with shots. The final tally was 52-24 for Kindersley.

That puts the Miners at 0-3 on the season. Their first losses coming at the hands of Hafford and Biggar Oct 28th & 29th.

The Sr. Klippers move to 3-0, with previous wins over Macklin and Wilkie. The next contest will take Kindersley on the road for a Highway 21 rematch with Unity. Broadcast live on Classic Hits Radio Friday November 18th 7:45pm. Puck drop at 8pm.
