The Central Butte Flyers played two road games in the west central region over the weekend, falling to the Rosetown Redwings, and then rebounding the next night out with a win against the first place Eston Ramblers.
It was a 5-2 final for Rosetown on Saturday night, as Jared Jagow scored two more goals and Justin Gauthier stopped 43/45 shots for the win.
Following their loss Central Butte would be hungry for the win on Sunday, taking on a tired Eston team. Former Jr Klippers forward Cole Young had 4 points for the Flyers in the win, and Jesse Ismond had 2 goals as his team enjoyed another solid night offensively but were unable to walk away with the win, eventually losing 5-4.
