Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) chapters in Saskatchewan takes a week to remember those who lost their lives due to impaired driving and to also raise awareness of the consequences that can arise from impaired driving. The Red Ribbon Launch Campaign will be from November 13-19. Separate chapters of SADD hold their red ribbon campaigns at different times during the school year.

Red Ribbons are meant to serve as a visual reminder of the fatalities and injuries of victims. It also serves as a reminder of the consequences that can arise from getting behind the wheel while impaired.

Ribbons are distributed within the school and are places on lockers and then are distributed withing the community. With red ribbons being put on vehicles, shared with family members and are places in downtown areas. Since the first Red Ribbon Campaign over 20 years ago, over one million have been distributed in Saskatchewan, and aiming at two million.
