In a winner take all game three in front of a packed house at the Co-op Arena at the WCEC, Kindersley and Eston went toe to toe to decide who will be moving on the north final against Hafford in the B bracket of senior provincials. In stark contrast to game two, Kindersley got off to a fast start in this one. Both teams took to the body early, as two or three solid checks set the tone for this physically played hockey game.

Kindersley managed to get on the board first, on a sweet passing play from Darian Dziurzynski to Kyle Donaldson, and was finished by pickup Kylar Hope. The Sr. Klippers then were shorthanded just over seven minutes in, but a great individual effort by Shayne Neigum going and around the net and putting it by a surprised Eston goaltender Tyrell King made the score 2-0. This did not phase Eston, as they scored just nine seconds later on the same powerplay, as Jesse Duchscherer scored on a deflection to cut the lead in half with just over 12 minutes to play.

Kindersley then came roaring back, as they had two or three straight shifts in the Eston zone, and if it wasn't for Tyrell King stoning David Dziurzynski, and Damon McKenzie things could have gotten out of hand quickly in this one. Kindersley kept pushing and they were rewarded this time, on a two on one shot by David Dziurzynski which beat King on a goal he would want back from the top of the circles off of his glove with just over three minutes remaining to regain the two goal lead for the Sr. Klippers. Kindersley then scored another just over a minute later, as Neigum got his second of the game, on a nice setup from Hope to increase the lead to three. Then just 20 seconds later, the Sr. Klippers potted another goal, as Hope and Neigum connected again, with Neigum this time setting up Hope to give Kindersley a four goal lead.

After 1: Sr. Klippers 5 - 1 Ramblers, shots 21-9 Sr. Klippers

Eston immediately put the pressure on Kindersley early, as Kindersley goaltender Luke Sproule stopped Connor Cox from point blank range just 15 seconds in. However, Cox got a second chance, and this time would not be denied, and Eston made it a three goal game just 30 seconds into the second period. Kindersley countered 1:41 later, as Shayne Neigum completed the hat trick on another soft goal on Tyrell King, to give the Sr. Klippers a four goal lead once again. Eston answered once again just over two minutes later, as Jesse Ismond got his first on a shot from the top of circles on a three on two. The Ramblers kept pressing to get closer five one five, but Luke Sproule made a big save at the half way point of the period to keep the score at 6-3.

Kindersley got into some penalty trouble, and Eston took advantage, as Jesse Ismond got his second of the game on a one timer setup by Johnny Calkins to cut the lead to two with over six minutes left to play in the second. Kindersley kept the Ramblers off the scoreboard, and had to kill off another penalty in the process to keep the game at 6-4. Then late in the period, the Sr. Klippers got the insurance goal they were looking for as David Dziurzynski scored his second of the night on a two on one, as Eston was caught on a line change, to give Kindersley a 7-4 lead with 25 seconds left in the period.

After 2: Sr. Klippers 7 - 4 Ramblers, shots 16-12 Ramblers in the period, 33-25 Sr. Klippers overall

With their season on the line, the third period saw Eston throw everything they had at Luke Sproule. Kindersley actually had a chance just over five minutes in, as Kylar Hope could not beat Tyrell King this time, and the three goal lead remained for the Sr. Klippers. The Kindersley once again took a penalty, this time by Troy Boisjoli, to give the Ramblers an opportunity to get closer. But some fine penalty killing by the Sr. Klippers, including a couple nice stops by Luke Sproule, kept the game at 7-4. Teams played five on five for the next couple of minutes until Kindersley's Jessey Pocock got the stick up on an Eston player, cutting him, and resulting in a four minute penalty.

This was the Ramblers best chance to get back into this hockey game. And they almost did, but thanks to lightning fast glove of Sproule, stoning Andrew Dommett in the slot, the three goal lead remained for the Sr. Klippers. In a last desperation by Eston, they pulled the goaltender with over two minutes remaining. Kindersley took advantage of this, as Darian Dziurzynski setup Kylar Hope for his hat trick at the 17:28 mark, and that was the final nail in the coffin in this one.

FINAL: Sr. Klippers 8 - 4 Ramblers shots 15-8 Ramblers in the period, 41-40 Sr. Klippers overall

Both Shayne Neigum and Kylar Hope had a hat trick in this one to lead the Sr. Klippers to victory. Neigum also had three assists as well. Hope also collected two assists, and Luke Sproule made 36 saves to preserve the win.

Kindersley will move on to play the Hafford Hawks in the north final of the B Bracket of senior provincials, after they knocked off Wilkie in two straight games. The series will need to be completed by March 14, with Kindersley holding home ice advantage in the best of three north final.
