A disturbance forecast to track across southern Saskatchewan
will bring a wintery mix of weather to the region. Precipitation
associated with this system is currently developing over the province and will gradually intensify as it tracks into the northern grainbelt and eastern portions of Saskatchewan tonight and Wednesday. 5 to 10 cm of new snow will be possible over the northern grainbelt by late
Wednesday.

Freezing rain is also likely with this system. Freezing rain has already occurred this morning over south central Saskatchewan, but has now ended. Freezing rain is forecast to redevelop again tonight along a corridor stretching from Kindersley southeastward towards Regina and southeastern Saskatchewan. This area of freezing rain is expected to exit southeastern Saskatchewan Wednesday morning.

Freezing rain and/or snowfall warnings may be warranted once again depending on how organized the precipitation becomes and the public is advised to watch for updated forecasts.
