SHSAA provincial football will commence across the province on Saturday. The long grind of the regular season is over, and it's now win or go home for local teams in the Unity Warriors, Rosetown Royals, Plenty Wildcats, and Kerrobert Rebels.

Looking at local 1A teams, the Kerrobert Rebels first round playoff matchup has them heading to Carrot River, facing an undefeated Conference 3 team that has only allowed 86 points the whole year. The Rebels finished the season at 4-2, good enough for second place behind undefeated Hafford in 1A Conference 1.

The 1A Plenty Wildcats also drew a road game after finishing 3-3 on the season. The Wildcats will have to face Lemberg, an even more impressive defense from Conference 2 that has only allowed a miniscule 30 points on their way to an undefeated record so far in 2023.

Switching over to 2A, the Rosetown Royals impressive undefeated season earned them the right to host Saturday's quarter-finals. Shellbrook will bring their 3-2 record to town and face a Royals team sporting a +295 point differential on the season.

The Unity Warriors 2A playoff matchup takes them on the road to Wakaw. Unity finished right behind Rosetown in the standings this season with a 5-1 record, posting an impressive +183 point differential themselves.

All Saturday games will be played at 1:00 PM. Follow along with SHSAA here, and read more about the road the postseason kicking off this weekend in the related articles below.
