The Saskatchewan Health Authority is urging Saskatchewan residents to be more vigilant when it comes to following public health measures, after an increase in cases over the recent period. These public health measures and personal safety precautions are the key points addressed in up to date PSA's to the Saskatchewan cities of Saskatoon, Lloydminster, Prince Albert and south west areas of the province. It should also target west central residents considering their plans, as the recent uptick in summer travel has coincided with four cases in the Central Region.

“We are seeing more positive cases of COVID-19 popping up around the province, reminding us that COVID-19 is everywhere and has no boundaries,” said Dr. David Torr, Public Health Incident Command Centre Co-lead for the Saskatchewan Health Authority. “Across Saskatchewan, we need to be more vigilant when it comes to preventing the spread of the virus.”

As stated above, four new cases have been confirmed in the Central Region of the province in the last week, though it is not certain where they are. COVID has been the confirmed reason of fifteen deaths in the province, most recently a troubling passing last week when a person in their 20's fell to the virus.
