An exciting White Mud Hockey League game in Eatonia highlighted a busy weekend of senior hockey. The hometown Huskies faced off against the Leader Flyers on Friday, and fans in attendance at the Eatonia Arena were not disappointed.

Mitch Larock got things going early for the Huskies making it 2-0, though Adam Antkowiak scored for Leader to cut the lead in half headed into the second. Antkowiak scored in the first minute of the second period to make it 2-2, and then two more Flyers goals from Eric Zubot and Ty King jumped the Flyers lead to 4-2 about halfway in.

Shortly after King's marker, a Huskies powerplay goal off the stick of Cooper Bowman made it 4-3, and then a goal from Chris Hudec had the game tied headed into the third. Hudec scored again to take a 5-4 lead halfway into the final frame, and then with under two-minutes remaining Antkowiak scored his hat-trick goal as the Flyers tied the game 5-5.

Overtime then solved nothing, but Taylen Solvberg did, winning it 7-6 for Eatonia with the only goal in the shootout.
