Team Campbell of Regina Saskatchewan

It was a sad day for Saskatchewan curlers yesterday when at the 2016 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Saskatchewan was officially pushed out of the finals.

Regina Team Campbell lost on Wednesday to Team Carey of Alberta in a final draw score of 6-5.

Team Carey carried on to the 18th draw last night, winning against Team Canada led by Jennifer Jones; Jones conceded to Carrie in a final draw score of 7-5.

The Scotties Tournament of Hearts carries on today going in to the 19th draw at 2:30 p.m.

Team McCarville of Northern Ontario is going up against Team Einarson of Manitoba.

In the Sask Valley Hockey League, The Delisle Bruins are going up against the Eston Ramblers tonight at the Eston Arena.

The puck drops at 8 p.m.

The Bruins remain first in the league with a total of 18 wins and one loss all season long.

In the Sask West Hockey League, The Wilkie Outlaws are once again going up against the Macklin Mohawks at the Macklin and District Community Complex.

The game begins at 8p.m.

The Kindersley Skating Club is hosting the Annual Jean Norman Skating Competition at the West Central Events Centre this weekend.

The first set of events kicked off yesterday, with people all over Saskatchewan partaking in the competition.

The Rosetown Mixed Curling is also happening at the Rosetown Curling Rink this weekend.

Draws will be happening on Saturday and Sunday through to the finals.
