Saskatchewan had it's largest growth in population for the first time in over 100 years.

At the beginning of the 2023 year, Statistics Canada released an estimation that showed an almost 30,000 population increase in 2022 within the province of Saskatchewan. Officially making it the highest population increase in one year since 1914. Saskatchewan now sits at a whole population of 1.2 million people.

Prior to 2007, Saskatchewan had stationed at a population of approximately 1 million people, so what is causing this growth? The answer is simple, immigration. The province is increasingly growing as the number of immigrants rises within Canada. The government of Saskatchewan has hopes to have increased the number of citizens to 1.4 million by the year 2030.

Along with this population increase, Saskatchewan experienced a great growth in the number of new jobs, standing at a mere 20,000. This helped Saskatchewan gain the lead in economic growth across Canada.
