The federal government has offered businesses money in many forms to help them cope with the financial strains they've been put under due to COVID-19. In the eyes of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, however, businesses in this province aren't taking as much advantage of this as they could be.

To help remedy that, the chamber is hosting a series of webinars to help businesses understand how best to access government funding. The hope is that offering a little insight into how to do so will inspire more employers to take their share of the pie.

Kevin Martin, Executive Director of the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce, wants to let people know the Kindersley Chamber is still alive and kicking.

"We are just trying to get the word out everywhere, and let people know the Chamber of Commerce is still alive and well, and kicking, and helping our local businesses. If everybody does there part, wearing masks and doing some things is inconvenient, but I'd rather be six feet apart than six feet under," Martin said.

Martin also talked about getting their voices heard.

"I mean all communities everywhere are under stress, and we wanted as a collective Saskatchewan Chambers of Commerce, had our voice heard in the (provincial) government," Mr. Martin added.

The webinars themselves continue on Thursday November 26 at 10 am, and Friday November 27 at 2 pm. If you miss out, you can access it afterwards on the chamber website by clicking here.
