After a 50 year drought, Richmound is the winner of the 2009 SaskAlta Championship Trophy.

In Game 1, Oyen took Maple Creek 8-4 and Gull Lake lost to Richmound 8-1 in Game 2.

Oyen then faced Richmound in the final and lost 6-4.

The last time Richmound won this trophy was in 1959.

The tournament MVP went to Mike Thompson of the Richmound Rockets.
