The Rosetown Campground officially opened up on May 1st. West Central Online spoke to George Bessey, campground manager to get an update on the latest happenings with the campground. George said he's just in the process of getting everything started up, cleaned up and all ready for the year. George started off by saying it's been a little bit slower this year than in years past, with low oil prices and no current construction on highway 7. He figures they may be able to make up some of that with short term stays with happenings in and around Rosetown and area.

Mr. Bessey also went on to say there are no major upgrades planned for this year, mostly just general upkeep. West Central Online asked him about the possibility of WIFI for the campground, George went on to say he looked into a couple years ago and to cover the entire campground would be quite expensive. He also stated they may look into putting one modem close to the office and the kitchen and if people wanted to check their email and bank accounts and what not they could do so there. For now if people really needed to use WIFI he said they could go to the library or A and W and use theirs.

George remained upbeat of the possiblity of being almost full every night as they were last year and hopes to see things pick up over the next month.
