The Kindersley Red Lions are rested and ready to get back on the ice in front of their home fans.

SWHL action resumes this weekend, and the Red Lions will be hosting back-to-back home games at the Co-op Arena at West Central Events Centre.

Tonight's match at 8:30 PM will feature an opponent they have already faced this season at the Co-op Arena: the Kerrobert Tigers.

It was the season opener where the lead switched back and forth between the Red Lions and Tigers. Kerrobert would go on to score a late goal in regulation to win the game 5-4.

Red Lions defenders will once again have to keep close tabs on the Tigers offensive weapons including Jordan Braid, Jeremy Boyer, and Bret Peppler. The trio connected for a combined 11 points in their previous meeting.

Saturday night's game at 8:00 PM will be the first time the Red Lions take on the Wilkie Outlaws, who remain as the league's only undefeated team. The Outlaws, who have played the least amount of games in the league at four, have allowed an average of 3 goals per game. Kindersley has allowed 53 goals in eight games with a team average goals against of 6.6 goals. If the goaltending is sharp for the Red Lions Saturday night, it could be one of the league's best match-ups this season.

The club is coming off a bye week with their last activity happening on November 26th in Biggar versus the Nationals. It's a game the players and staff have put behind them after the Nationals scored 5 unanswered goals to win 5-2 over the Red Lions.

Kindersley sits in fifth place out of seven clubs in the league standings with a record of 4-4-0-0 totalling 8 points. This weekend will present the team a great opportunity to climb the rankings with two wins on home ice.
