The province once again broke a record for the number of new cases of COVID-19 in one day.

The provincial government announced 1,412 new cases on Friday, along with 347 recoveries.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (27), Far North East (18), North West (53), North Central (62), North East (36), Saskatoon (334), Central West (20), Central East (92), Regina (334), South West (44), South Central (76) and South East (168) zones and 148 new cases have pending residence information.

Nine cases were assigned; three to the Far North Central zone, two to the North West zone, one to the North East zone, one to the Central East zone, one to the Regina zone, and one to the South West zone. 

18 SK residents tested out of province were added to case counts; two to the North West zone, one to the North Central zone, six to the Saskatoon zone, and nine to the Regina zone. 

10,325 cases are considered active. There are 156 active cases in the Central West zone and 112 active cases in the Central West subzone 1, which included Kindersley and Rosetown.

131 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. 123 are receiving inpatient care including 59 for COVID-19 illnesses, 46 admitted for other reasons and 18 still to be determined. Eight are receiving ICU care with five admitted for COVID-19 illnesses and three admitted for other reasons.
