Pokemon Go has taken the mobile gaming world by storm, with many people from all corners of the globe taking part in the game.

Its popularity has sparked inspiration for its users to go out in their communities and catch virtual creatures while experiencing the outdoors and highlights of their neighbourhood. The game utilizes GPS mapping in order to place the Pokemon in a location and have users locate the creatures using the map on their electronic devices.

This feature of the game has created problems for people, as sometimes the Pokemon are placed in areas on the electronic map located on private property. The problem has grown to the point where the creators of the mobile game are working to remove some real-world locations that do not want to be included in the game, and have been labelled as "Pokestops".

RCMP from around West Central Saskatchewan have received calls of complaints from players entering onto private or restricted property while playing Pokemon Go.

Constable Doucette of the Kindersley RCMP has created an entertaining and fun media release for Pokemon Go users as a friendly reminder to obey the law while enjoying the mobile-gaming sensation throughout players' communities.

"It covers everything from distracted driving to people not looking both ways," said Megan Mochoruk of the Kindersley RCMP, who shared the RCMP announcement with West Central Online.

RCMP have been active in spreading their message of safety to Pokemon Go users in the last couple weeks. A creative Facebook post made by the Kindersley RCMP went viral, catching attention from many different people and communities, including law enforcement in Calgary who shared the post.
