Saskatchewan's Provincial Parks are hoping to have an increase in visitors before the summer season begins.

Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Christine Tell is encouraging people to camp at the parks in the less-busy "shoulder season". Between May 18 and June 24, campers can book a site at any provincial park for 30 consecutive nights for the price of 21.

Tell adds they are also waiving the gate-entry fee at the parks on weekdays between May 18 and June 24.

These incentives will hopefully attract new visitors to the parks and encourage them to use their commercial businesses during their stay.
