This week on the OSY Rentals Ball Report we head west to the community of Oyen.

Baseball has always been a major part of the community, both young and old.

The 2023 season has been a successful one for Oyen Minor Ball, as the U15 Girls softball team made it to the finals of provincials, and some Oyen products won provincials as part of the Neutral Hills Wranglers program.

This included Luke Caskey, who won the U18 AAA provincial championship.

Also winning provincial championship were Keifer and Koen Anderson, as they were part of the Neutral Hills 18 UU AA Tier 5 provincial team.

Shifting gears to the Oyen Eagles of the FVBL, they continue to put together strong regular seasons, but the championship has eluded the team the past few years.

This included a 9-1 record in 2023, before being upset by the 5-5 Rosetown Angels in the semis.

Despite this, both baseball and softball remain as strong as ever in the community, and the future looks bright for many players from the area.
