New cases outnumbered recoveries for the first time since this past Saturday, as there were 130 new cases and 116 recoveries reported today. The seven-day average of cases and hospitalizations both continued to decline, however, while vaccinations continued their rise. There are now 1,285 cases active in the province and just 13 in the Central West zone. 

The Saskatchewan Health Authority reports one more person who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. This person was a resident of the North West zone and was in their 70s. 

Hospitalizations continued their slow but steady decline, as 103 people are now hospitalized due to the virus. Of those, 22 require intensive care. The seven-day average of daily new cases is now 131. 

Today's new cases are located in the following zones:  Far North West, 8; North West, 13; North Central, 8; North East, 7; Saskatoon, 46; Central West, 1; Central East, 2; Regina, 22; South West, 2; South Central, 12; and South East, 7. There are two more cases with pending residence information.

Yesterday, the province processed 2,798 COVID-19 tests. They also administered  9,299 doses of COVID-19 vaccine for a total of 740,251.

93,027 people are now fully vaccinated in Saskatchewan, including 3,620 in the Central West zone.  The province has now administered the first dose of the vaccine to 63 percent of the population age 12 and older.
