An announcement has come in from the Town of Rosetown and Town of Biggar, as they have entered into a new recycling agreement with SARCAN Recycling effective today, until March 31, 2023.
The new program will allow residents to dispose of their household glass material through SARCAN, and a list of acceptable and unacceptable materials is available below:
Acceptable Material: Clear and coloured household glass containers (jam jars, salsa jars, olive oil bottles etc; with lids removed; must be clean).
Non-Acceptable Material: Pyrex, china, tempered, plate, ceramic glass, broken glass, glass bottles that are included as Deposit Beverage Containers.
Also included, is that household glass may be recycled at the Rosetown SARCAN at 304 – 8th Street East, beginning today as well.
