Ninety per cent of the provincial hay crop has been cut according to the latest Saskatchewan Crop Report, but cool, wet weather has slowed down progress.

"Things are still a little bit late on most things," Regional Crop Specialist Daphne Cruise says. "But there is some progress being made in the southwest and westcentral parts of the province where we're starting to see some dessication of pulses."

Cruise says lentil crops are still a little bit behind as well...She adds that most farmers are hoping for warm, dry weather to wrap up August, with a long drawn out fall.

There is some good news on the horizon, the latest forecast showing temperatures above 20 degrees through this week.
