As we head into late March, minor hockey is beginning to wind down in many parts of the province, including in Kindersley. The U18 Kyote Energy Klippers won the B side of the Hi-Way 14 Hockey League on the weekend, after defeating Kerrobert 5-4 in overtime at home, and winning on the road 4-3 last Friday to complete the two game sweep.

Not all hockey is done in Kindersley, as the U13 Western Prairie Thunder play host to the North West Sharks tomorrow night at the WCEC at 6:45. The Thunder won game one on the road 6-1 in Turtleford, and will look to move onto the league finals. Meanwhile in provincials, the team beat Wood River 6-1 as well yesterday, and have a chance to win the provincial championship on home ice at 3:00 pm on Sunday at the West Central Events Centre.

Kindersley Minor Hockey is also looking for people to fill out a survey for Western Prairie Female Hockey.
