Last Saturday, April 16 2016, a minor crash took place at the Kindersley Airport. A student pilot whose 1951 Piper PA-22 short-winged aircraft lost control during landing. The plane flipped and had a large amount of damage done but stayed intact.

The Kindersley Fire Department, RCMP, and EMS were dispatched. Luckily, the pilot escaped with no serious injuries reported.

The Town of Kindersley and Airport officials were on scene to assist in clean up of the runway. Transportation Safety Board and Transport Canada are conducting an investigation of the matter.
