The Kindersley Jr. Klippers and Melville Millionaires went toe to toe Saturday night at the WCEC.

Kindersley got on the board first on a nice passing play between Danton Cox, Aidan Bangs and Matthew Mazzocchi, with Maz finishing on the powerplay. The goal came at the 11:00 mark of the opening period.

The Klippers doubled their lead thanks to Maz once again in the second, on another beautiful passing play between Kayden Ostrom and Aidan Bangs. The even strength tally came at 13:08.

The Millionaires cut into the lead early in the third, with Cooper Chisholm putting in a rebound past Logan Falk for his 8th of the season.

Kindersley weathered the storm from there, and Tylin Hilbig intercepted a clearing pass from Payton Kostyshyn in the neutral zone, went around Melville's net, and found Cash Arntsen for his 11th of the season to regain the two goal advantage.

The Millionaires cut into the lead under a minute later, as a shot from Sam Schofield deflected off of the glove of Klippers defenseman Liam Bell into the net.

The goal did not rattle the Klippers, as Matthew Mazzocchi completed his hat trick with just seven seconds to go in the third off of a scramble. The three goals now give Maz 18 on the season, to lead Kindersley.

The Klippers will head northeast for their last swing of the season, starting in Nipawin Tuesday, and moving onto Melfort Wednesday.

Gametime from the Cage in Nipawin is 7:00 pm, and Country 104 will have the call, with the Murlin Electronics pregame show beginning at 6:45 pm.
