Flood water that still devestates Maple Creek

One month ago, flood waters flowed through Maple Creek, devestating the community. It was a disaster that residents will never forget.

Today, the affects from the flooding can still be felt, with many homeowners still drying out basements and waiting on assistance from the provincial government.

Mayor Barry Rudd says many forced from their homes still have no place to go. Twenty-one families are still living in motels. Social Services are in the process of doing a needs assessment and then it will go to Brad Wall's office to decide what should be done.

Groups are coming in from all over the province who want to help. They have had groups come in from places like Kindersley to help gut basements and perform other tasks.
