Rosetown Civic Center board members whose job is to manage the civic center in the community would like a change to their service terms.

Currently, board members can serve four consecutive one year terms that are required by a bylaw.

Representatives would like to see that changed to three two year terms or even a maximum of eight years due to the lack of interest in becoming a board member for the Civic Centre.

Council representative Tim Askin explained at a meeting in November that ambivalence is causing issues with the board and stated that the board is currently short two members and they know of no one who is interested in taking up the positions.

Askin explained if the length of the members terms can be expanded this will allow currrent board members to remain on the board.
