The Sun West School Division recently recognized one of their students who has went somewhat viral.

More and more attention has continued being shown to young Mady Adamson, a farm education advocate in west central. Mady has shared her story around a few different outlets now, and has definitely caught the eye of many including her own schools divisions Director of Education.

“Mady is amazing,” stated Sun West Director of Education Randy Emmerson in a written release from the school division, “her passion and ability to communicate about agriculture makes her a great educator in her own right. We are so proud of her.”

West Central Online jumped on the phone with the director to discuss the accolade further, and help share all the reasons why Mady’s message through the series is a good one.

“It’s a good (message),” said Emmerson, “It’s a model right, it’ll be an example other kids can see. They think, ‘if Mady can do that, then what are the things I might be able to share with the community?’. From such a young perspective you get a different way of looking at it, through the eyes of a child, which is pretty sweet.”

Another one of her biggest fans is another online agriculture personality in QuickDickMcDick. He was introduced to the catalogue of videos after being tagged on Twitter to send the impressive young girl some QDM merchandise, and has since become one of her biggest supporters.

As a content creator himself, QDM has high hopes for Mady and her budding series.

“I really really hope that they keep this very organic if that’s the term you want to use, and not get into any sponsorship. Her parents seem very aware of the liabilities of putting your child online and what-not.” explained the Saskatchewan farm personality, “If she can continue to use it without turning into a sales channel, which is what I have really tried to do, I hope they do the same thing because you get a lot of corporations that try and buy in to something that's genuine and heartfelt like this, and turn it into something that it’s not meant to be.”

Quick Dick McDick has seen every episode of Learning About Ag with Mady, some even twice, and hopes they continue to go full-steam-ahead with the series as time goes on.

Hopefully the certificate recognizing her work is something that Mady can cherish, and use as motivation to keep educating people on the ins and outs of agriculture.
