Over the LCBI Homecoming weekend a time capsule from nearly 100 years ago was removed from the old main building and opened.

Inside were many artifacts from students at LCBI in 1915, items included The Outlook Newspaper from October 29th, 1915, there was a laying of the capsule document, a bible and Norwegian Lita Kakismis, a Psalm book as well as news papers.

The time capsule was opened in front of a crowd of around two hundred. Norwegian speaking alumni said a few words and psalms were sung as a small ceremony took place.

The contents of the time capsule are now going to be transported to the University of Saskatchewan for further analysis.

Early ideas for the time capsule include putting a couple items back in the cornerstone of Old Main along with artifacts from 2015.
