SHSAA high school football saw its final week of the regular season end with some high scoring, and under the lights action spread all around the west central region.

The Kindersley Kobras were not under the lights as they clinched first place in their conference with a 76-22 win in Eatonia over the Spartans. After defeating Kerrobert the week before, the Kobra's recent win against guarantees them at least a tie for the top spot in Conference 7.

In the other premier match-up of the final week it was Plenty visiting Rosetown in a battle of teams that lost their opener to first place Clavet, but rebounded to have a strong end to their season. The Wildcats would come out under the lights in Rosetown and defeat the Royals by a score of 68-42.

The brackets will now have to shake out for most of the playoff teams in the province as they await the October 30th date for provincials. This isn’t the case for Conference 6 teams however, as Clavet is hosting Outlook while Rosetown is home to Biggar this Saturday, October 23rd, and because of their performance and the fact that Plenty is a 1A school they are guaranteed a provincial appearance set for October 30th.
