The Kindersley Klippers have announced the appointment of a new assistant coach.

Larry Wintoneak will take over the role.  Spending the last two seasons as the Strength and Conditioning Coach, Wintoneak will continue those duties as well as taking on the Assistant Coach position.

Larry Wintoneak is a long time coaching veteran, with previous Head Coach/GM experience in Flin Flon, La Ronge, and with the Klippers from 2006 to 2010.

Klippers forward Josh Stang announced his retirement yesterday.  Stang spent the past two seasons with the Klippers and is expected to be "pursuing some other opportunies, including making plans for his future education".  The Klippers organization wished Stang and his family well in the future.

The Klippers were in Macklin last night for a neutral ice home game against the Yorkton Terriers.  Kindersley won the game in front of a crowd of 572 people 5-2.  Cole Plotnikoff, Cody Hodgson and Brendan Wagner were the goal scorers, with Hodgson and Wagner getting 4 points each.    Nick Trenciansky made 27 saves for the Klippers third win in a row.
